Cosimo and his boat the “Nonno Ugo” allow you to live an exhilarating experience ploughing through the waters of Specchiolla, Santa Sabina and, above all, the Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area. Mullet, cuttlefish, octopus and goatfish fill Cosimo’s nets, and who, for some years, has decided to diversify his activity, not only by offering fishing tourism, but also by giving his clients the opportunity to buy the catch when they dock. As well, he supports local cooperatives in workshop initiatives aimed at raising the awareness of school-age children of an informed fish consumption. Cosimo always remembers: “We didn’t want the reserve, now it’s our life and they call us from all over Italy to explain how this was all made possible”.
