The business is new, not more than 6 months old. It comprises a fish market located in the port of Batroun. The owner (Mr. Youssef Aassal) is a professional diver/fisherman who works alongside his father in the fishing business. The idea of their project came up because they live the suffering that all fishers have in Lebanon, in terms of selling their catches at very low prices. Their business aims to support the fishers in Batroun by directly purchasing their catches at reasonable prices. The main sectors of activity revolve around selling fresh fish brought directly from Batroun fishers. They are involved in the production of seafood products (e.g., salted tuna filets, pickled sardines, etc.) their future plan is to expand the business and diversify in wider seafood production (e.g., innovative seafood platters)
