Association Meditérranéenne du pescatourisme

The Mediterranean Pescatourism Association was created in 2019 by the partners of the Interreg Med TOURISMED project. Its objective is to be a place of exchange and sharing of Pescatourism practices in the Mediterranean and elsewhere for the recognition of diversification practices of professional fishing according to the principles of a blue economy at the service of the territories. The diversification of professional fishing, especially when it is on an artisanal scale, has only been possible in most territories thanks to the implementation of integrated local development projects. It is for this reason that this association was created in order to allow all fishing ports, and in particular in the island territories, to be able to develop and preserve the heritage of artisanal fishing. Its headquarters are located in the coastal town of Propriano (South Corsica). Share good practices in diversification for development in all Mediterranean territories.
